Default add an animation for Healing Spring

The necro wells, monk area heals, ele wards, etc. all have animations, but the ranger's Healing Spring does not. Giving it some sort of recognizable animation would not only help rangers get a little more respect, but also make it easier for teammates to make use of it!

Couldn't agree more... I've made a ranger as of late, and I must say its hard to tell the range of Healing spring.

Some even of Ward circle or something is needed.

Healing Spring does have an animation... but what it is missing is something to demonstrate it's effective range which is pretty much what all of the traps are missing.

Something like NWN's use of traps where the trapped area would be outlined in red till something ran into it would be handy.

Well, I don't want my enemies to see my traps, but I do want my team to see my Healing Spring. I think it makes sense for the Healing Spring to be a visible area; the others are invisible because they are designed to be, the ranger hides traps; healing spring shouldn't be hidden, and if it really is a font of healing water that the Ranger calls forth through magic it could easily be represented as a little fountain/puddle showing the area.

I agree completely with the above posts. You can see the effective range of wells, heal area ... etc ... healing spring has the same animations as all ranger spell casts (haven't you noticed that all characters have there specific same movements when casting spells ... ) but if your referring to the sparkly stuff that surrounds you when casting the trap ... or for other traps for this matter it would be nice to have a ranger glow for range of effect.

Nono course not, the trap area would only be seen by allies.

Dredging up an older thread, but in addition to some sort of visible "spring is here" glow, I noticed that Maelstorm doesn't have a visible area of effect. Are there any other AoE spells (offensive or defensive) that don't show their areas of effect?

I'm ignoring traps because well.... they're traps!

Maelstrom has a little circle thing at the point it was cast, it just is hard to notice...and is no indication of range...

Just noticed it myself last night when the imps were destroying some of my casters and I realized I didn't see anything on the ground, just their health going down. I'll check again (and thanks for pointing it out).

Agreed, please make a visible effect for healing spring indicating its range.

Traps should be vissible to allies yes. Not only healing spring. I find it pretty anoying when I trie to lure people into a trap and then cant find it anymore (thats why I search for identical marks nowaday so I know where I putt the damn thing :P)

It's a little blue circle that changes from big to small if that makes it easier for you to see it. I find the area it hits is larger than it shows however.

And yes, showing the healing spring would be nice.
